Fire Danger is very high.
Planning for fire mitigation or an evacuation should occur well before an emergency happens. Because a wildfire is a dynamic event, there will potentially not be much time for homeowners to respond an evacuation order. It will be important for people to think clearly and act decisively when they are told to evacuate. The Fire Committee evaluates the evacuation routes, hosts educational meetings on topics related to safety, communications and other items requested by the membership.
National Fire Danger Rating System
In Buckskin Heights, the fire danger is considered high the majority of the year When the fire danger is “high”, fires can start easily from most causes and small fuels (such as grasses and needles) will ignite readily. Unattended campfires and brush fires are likely to escape. Fires will spread easily, with some areas of high-intensity burning on slopes or concentrated fuels. Fires can become serious and difficult to control unless they are put out while they are still small.
